Hey ππ½ haven't posted anything on here in AGES. I've just been extremely preoccupied this year on school & prelims & NSC exams (that's coming up). I've been so preoccupied with all that that I didn't manage time well to fit in "Write Blog Post" in the Daily To Do Lists.
But, anyways...
I read one of the most hyped books in the online book community, and....... I loved itπ
I loved the characters. I loved that Taylor Jenkins Reid made them all immensely human, and rawly real (do that something people say, idk?π
)
I loved how Taylor Jenkins Reid wrote in such a simplistic way that it kind of made it addictive to read. And I don't think everyone will find it addictive when reading but I did. I'm someone who loves seeing the behind the scenes things of movies & I love celebrity gossip & news. So this was addictive to read for me because you get to see both of those things within the book.
Something that surprised me but that I also loved about the book was how gay it was.π
I knew that Evelyn Hugo was bisexual but I was surprised by all the other things that revolved by the gayness of this book (if that makes any senseπ). I didn't expect it and yet I loved the book even more because of it.
There really isnt anything that I hated about the book and would highly highly recommend this book to almost anyone who' s willing to read it.
Now, before you see my rating you have to understand that I read this book over the span of a couple of months, so I didn't get to fully experience the book the way it should have been experienced because I believe that this book needs to be read in one sitting, cover-to-cover, to fully get the magic of this book. Another reason for the lower rating is because, I just know that on reread I'll give it a higher rating so I'm going to nerf my rating so that I won't have to be disappointed by my past/future rating/opinion... Does that make sense to anyone other than me, I don't know?π€·πΎ♂️π
But anyway, I absolutely loved this book, it's one of my favourites.
-πΉπππππ: πππ.5 /5
I'm super excited for the adaptation. And I hope that it comes out well.
